As many may recognize from the popular Disney movie Toy Story , Mr.Potatohead is a great toy we love to use in the classroom. Animal talk!
Animals are all around us! What are they saying? People all across the world have a different impression of what each animals are saying.
What do these animals sound like?

In the classroom, we focus a lot on this phrase to teach the kids new vocabularies.
There are many situations this phrase may be used, and is great for everyday practice!
For example, point to the following picture and ask,
It’s a banana.
It’s a telephone.
We can also use what to describe the weather.
Today it’s sunny.
Today it’s cloudy.
Today it’s rainy.
Learning colors…
Kids love colors. One of our daily routines is to ask each of our students”What color do you like?“
「何色が好き？？」レッスンでは毎回先生から聞かれます。
We generally try to encourage the answer “I like _______!“, or “This one!” while they point to the corresponding color.
Kids のみんなは上手に ”I like red!” や ”This one! (これ！)”と言ってカードを指差します。
We also teach our students to learn colors in relation to specific objects. Look at the following pictures below. Can you guess what color they are？
